Both Quinton Locklin and his wife, Jennifer, have been agents with the Georgetown, TX Market Center since February 2018. They’re committed to Keller Williams all the way!

In the last 18 months, Quinton and Jennifer have faced an overwhelming series of medical challenges. In just a year and a half, they’ve had NINE surgeries.

Early 2024

In January of 2024, Jennifer had an SI joint fusion to treat chronic hip and lower back pain. As soon as she began healing, Quinton was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Around that same time, he began experiencing intense lower back pain due to spondylolisthesis, which is when a vertebra slips forward out of alignment. He had a spinal fusion surgery the same month as his cancer diagnosis.

Not long after, he woke up with severe neck pain and couldn’t lift his right arm. The nerves were so compressed that his right arm became completely paralyzed for 10 weeks. It turned out to be brachial neuritis or radiculitis (pinched nerve), necessitating a second cervical spinal fusion just two months after the first. The two back surgeries required long recovery periods and physical therapy, making it difficult for him to keep up with work.

Mid 2024

As if that weren’t enough, the pain medications led to internal bleeding, causing severe anemia. That meant additional procedures and a colonoscopy just to stabilize internal damages. A month later, he had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee, and when recovery didn’t go as planned, he ended up needing a second knee surgery in October. In December, he had shoulder surgery to repair multiple cartilage and muscle tears.

“I’ve shown homes with a neck brace, on crutches, and even using a walker. Life didn’t stop — and I didn’t either — but it was anything but easy.” -Quinton Locklin

Early 2025

Quinton had a few months to recover in the new year, then in March 2025, he had a second prostate biopsy. His full prostatectomy took place just a few weeks ago on June 9th, and now he’s focused on being cancer-free.

Through all of it, Quinton and Jennifer did their best to keep working, but the number of surgeries and long recoveries made it nearly impossible to maintain their usual workload. They’ve relied on credit cards and personal loans to stay afloat. Thankfully, they have good health insurance, but even so, they have significant medical bills.

“In less than 16 months, I’ve undergone 9 rounds of anesthesia, had 12 procedures, 6 MRIs, and countless hours of therapy. Physically, emotionally, and financially, it has been an overwhelming burden. Yet somehow, we’ve made it through.” -Quinton Locklin

How You Help through KW Cares

KW Cares was able to provide a grant toward paying down high-interest credit cards and personal loans the Lockins relied on to cover living expenses, medical bills not covered by insurance, and business overhead during the months they were unable to work at full capacity.

“We’ve believed in KW Cares for as long as we’ve been with Keller Williams. We’ve always given, never imagining we’d be on the receiving end one day. Now we truly understand what this culture is all about — and we’re forever grateful.” -Quinton Locklin

Our hope is that Quinton can heal peacefully and won’t have to see the inside of a medical center any time soon!
