Twenty years ago, Mo Anderson led the charge to turn an incredible local initiative from the Austin SW Market Center into an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit: KW Cares. The mission?
To empower, support, and protect our KW Family in times of financial hardship due to sudden emergencies.
When Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005, KW Cares raised over $5,000,000 to help those in need. With that, we solidified our position as the heartbeat of the KW culture of caring! Over the last two decades, we’ve awarded nearly $60 million in financial aid to those affected by life-altering events and natural disasters.

Raising $6.4 Million Online for KW Family Members in Need

Throughout 2023, we’re running a major online fundraiser—our 20 Years of Caring campaign! We need your help to lay the foundation for the next 20 years and beyond!

We’re striving to raise $6.4 million online by the end of this year. Your donations will directly benefit KW associates and their immediate family members when faced with sudden emergencies.

Here’s how you can participate:

  1. Make a Donation.
    Your donation will directly benefit KW Family members facing the biggest challenges of their lives. We need your help to raise $6.4 million by the end of the year!
  2. Start a Sub-Campaign.
    Create your own fundraising page for yourself, your team, or your affiliate group. Share with the people in your sphere of influence why you support KW Cares! Sub-campaigns can be hugely effective in incentivizing giving.
  3. Give to an Existing Sub-Campaign.
    You can support your region by giving to their sub-campaign! It all helps get to the $6.4 million goal.

One of the most powerful ways you can help our KW Family in times of crisis is through transactional giving within Command and Greensheets. In fact, 75% of KW Cares’s donations come from transactional gifts!
If every transaction without a donation in 2022 had included a $5 gift, KW Cares would have received $4.1 million!
