Here at KW Cares we’re blessed to hear the stories of KW Family members who have been touched by our grant program. One such recipient is Tina, who is currently battling breast cancer. Below is her story, in her own words.

My Name is Tina

Receiving a KW Cares grant has meant more to my family and me than I can adequately put into words. Since becoming a Keller Williams agent in 2017, I have faithfully contributed to KW Cares, believing in its mission and trusting that it would be there for agents in times of need. I never imagined that one day, I would be the one needing help.

After my breast cancer diagnosis, life changed quickly. Along with the emotional and physical toll of treatment came unexpected medical bills that added a heavy layer of stress during an already overwhelming season.

The KW Cares grant provided immediate and tangible relief. It helped cover medical expenses that would have otherwise created financial strain, allowing my family and me to focus on what truly mattered: my health, healing, and time together. This support was not just financial; it was deeply emotional. It was a reminder that I am part of a true family; one that shows up, lifts one another, and takes care of its own when life takes an unexpected turn. Knowing that my KW Family was standing beside me brought comfort, peace, and reassurance during one of the hardest chapters of my life.

I am profoundly grateful to KW Cares, my Market Center, the leadership, the donors, and every Keller Williams agent who gives so generously. Your contributions made a real difference in my life when I needed it most. Because of this experience, I am even more committed to paying it forward by continuing to support KW Cares, by sharing my story, and by being present for others who may one day find themselves in a similar season.

My heart is full, and I am incredibly blessed to be part of a company that doesn’t just talk about caring for people but truly lives it out.

How You Can Help

Tina had two surgeries in late 2025 to remove the cancer and get clean margins. She began chemotherapy in February 2026 and will follow that with radiation and hormone therapy. We were able to help with a portion of her out-of-pocket costs, and hope to see a video of her “ringing the bell” very soon.

If you know a KW associate like Tina, please send them our information. We want to make sure they have what they need, and they can apply online at kwcares.org/grants/. If Tina’s story has inspired you, consider making a gift at donate.kwcares.org or by giving through Command.
