Catastrophic Hardship Grants: Housing Disaster
KW Cares can assist with expenses due to unexpected tragedies such as a house fire or natural disaster, including but not limited to deductibles, structural damage and loss of contents.
Assistance for housing disasters is for primary residences only. Applicant must be able to demonstrate financial need.
Your Incident Documentation Checklist
- Incident report from emergency service agency, such as fire department, if applicable
- Insurance claim settlement report
- Insurance declarations page
- FEMA assistance letter
- Estimates for repairs
- Inventory of personal belongings lost
- Photos of damage
Your Financial Documentation Checklist
- Most recent federal income tax return in entirety
- Bank statements, in entirety, for all accounts
- Most recent pay stubs
- Statements for alternate income sources, such as SSI
- Current statements for home loan(s), car loan(s), credit card(s), etc.
